About LeydenJar

LeydenJar is a high-tech company, developing pure silicon anodes for a lithium-ion battery that will change the world. We are proud that, here at LeydenJar, we:

  • boost Li-ion battery energy density by 70% by using 10x thinner anodes
  • improved cycle life to >450
  • achieved fast charging to 60% in under 10 min!

We are currently still in an R&D phase, but we are ready to start the actual production of anode foil. LeydenJar Plant One will open in 2026.


Your mission
As a pivotal member of our team, your mission is to spearhead the management and maintenance of our IT workspace infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of our workspace systems. Your role will revolve around providing comprehensive technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving a myriad of technical issues related to hardware, software, and network functionalities.

You will be tasked with overseeing the IT service desk software and tools, meticulously managing the IT incident and problems, and rigorously upholding the IT service level agreements (SLAs). Additionally, your responsibilities will extend to proficiently handling IT mobile device management and support, guaranteeing the optimal functioning of our diverse array of end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

In line with this, you will play a crucial role in managing our IT workspace infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Flexibility to work in both Leiden and Eindhoven locations is a requirement for the role, making mobility a crucial criterion.


About the job

This role entails a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities. Perfect if you are getting your energy from switching between tasks and topics! In short:

  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues with the help of our IT support partners
  • Manage the IT service desk software and tools
  • Oversee IT incident and problem management processes
  • Ensure adherence to IT service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Have knowledge of ITIL way of working
  • Handle IT mobile device management and support, including device enrolment, configuration, and security
  • Manage the IT workspace infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Manage remote access solutions such as virtual desktops and remote access software
  • Ensure IT security and compliance for the workspace, including endpoint security and data encryption
  • Conduct IT asset management and inventory, tracking and reporting on device usage and inventory
  • Develop and maintain the IT service continuity and disaster recovery plan for the workspace
  • Monitor and manage the performance of the IT workspace infrastructure
  • Create, maintain, and manage knowledge base articles for efficient issue resolution
  • Provide end-user training to facilitate seamless access to resources and tools
  • Ensure smooth integration and management of software and tools within the workspace.
  • Organize and manage Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)

Job requirements

About you

  • You are experienced and skilled in It workspace management (at least 4 years of relevant work experience)
  • You have at least MBO4 or a higher professional education (HBO) level of thought and work
  • You get energy from managing a high variety of tasks and at the same time and know how to prioritize well to ensure you make your deadlines
  • You have a strong eye for detail, are discrete and able to work with sensitive data and information
  • You are resourceful and have an entrepreneurial mindset
  • You like having multiple responsibilities where you balance working together with others with working independently 
  • Fluency in English, verbally as well as in writing. A Dutch work permit is required.
