About the job
LeydenJar Technologies is developing a Li-ion (and solid state) battery solution. As LeydenJar's technologies are unique in the industry - 100% silicon film deposited on Cu substrate with PECVD deposition method - the success of our story significantly depends on thorough understanding on the failure mechanism of the battery cell with LeydenJar's silicon. Also creating new nano-structure inside silicon film and accurate characterization of the material before and after battery cell operation, is essential to design the best performing products for specific applications so that LeydenJar's technologies can serve the world in as broad fields as possible. As a Senior Materials Scientist, you'll be leading the key roles in it, especially focused on material characteristics analysis.


 You will be working on:

    • Selection of the most appropriate instrumental analysis for specific interests
    • Setting up fundamental material analysis methodologies such as optimization of sample conditions for chosen instrumental analysis
    • Verification of cell failure mechanism caused by material degradation
    • Specifying required material properties for specific application areas of the product
    • Building up cooperative global network between research institutes, universities, and LJT
    • IP creation for newly developed products

Job requirements

About you

    • You have thorough understanding on the various types of instrumental analysis and hands-on experience
    • You have gained more than 5-10 years in material synthesis and characterization after completing your PhD
    • Your education: PhD on Materials Science or Chemical Engineering specialized in nano-structured materials synthesis or characterization
    • You are fluent English
